[Alright. That does it. See Kageyama's hand? Where is it going? Oh yes, that's right, right over Hinata's big, dumb mouth. He plants his palm there, glaring at the other boy, his voice a harsh whisper.]
Shut up! Okay, fine! Whatever! Look for me! Just keep it down, dumbass!
[Hinata actually growls as he struggles against Kageyama's hand for a second, but he's quick to settle down with a scowl. He's not saying anything, but he'll cooperate. Let go of his damn face you stupid volleyball idiot. He pulls on Kageyama's hand with his own somewhat uselessly.]
[What are you, a dog? The growl gets a raised eyebrow from the setter before he lets Hinata's face go and returns his hand to himself. Now what? An awkward silence settles between them as Kageyama opts to stare at his pillow instead of Hinata. Maybe if he just lay down and closed his eyes he could forget for a little while how shitty this place was.]
[Hinata flops face down on the bed before Kageyama has a chance to. He doesn't look up at him, but he quietly mutters into the pillow, just loud enough for Kageyama to hear.]
[Now he is peeking up at Kageyama. He's terrified. What would he ever do if Kageyama actually did disappear? What could Hinata do? Kageyama was probably right. He'd definitely get hurt, and he'd probably die. This place isn't necessarily forgiving. But what then would he do if he failed to save his setter? What if Kageyama disappeared like Yachi did? What if he disappeared forever? The very thought makes him nauseous. Since when does he need this guy?]
[He can't help but hesitate in replying, simply because he has no clue if he can keep such a promise. He can't stop this place if it decides to take him or kill him or do whatever it wants to him. He has no control over that...and if this place took Hinata? Who knows what he'd do.]
[Hinata tilts his gaze up towards him and smiles. It's a small smile, but at least he's not scowling or pouting anymore. Even if a promise like that is worthless, he can't help but feel comforted. Kageyama isn't the type to break a promise so easily.
After a second, he lifts up his hand and offers him his pinky. Gotta make it official.]
[The smile has his own face scrunching up - not into a smile, but something inbetween. Something uncertain and unsure. The pinky is a light in the dark however, jutting out and waiting for him to take. So he does, squeezing it.]
[Hinata seems pretty satisfied with that, it seems. He's quick to scoot over, rolling onto his side so that Kageyama has plenty of room to lay down. He's grateful that they've been sleeping together like this pretty regularly. It'd be a little embarrassing to admit to someone, but it seems pretty natural to them. So he doesn't mind continuing to do this, and continuing to keep it somewhat to themselves, even if they do have a new roommate that will know all about it. It keeps the nightmares away for both of them, so... It's good.]
[It'd be embarrassing to admit but at the same time he kind of already had admitted it to Onoda and it had come out easy enough. That said, why should he be embarrassed? Because it was weird? It wasn't that weird - they were more or less on top of each other due to space constraints in the storage room. This was just an extension of that and anyone with half a mind who had been here long enough would realize the sense of safety it'd bring. Hinata was a living, breathing security blanket - that's all it was.]
Yeah...I think so.
[It was relatively late and with Onoda asleep in the bed across from them...it was best to stay quiet and follow his lead.]

[Pout all you want because he's mirroring the expression. Pot meet kettle etc.]

[POINTED SCOWL.]

[Wanna go? Wanna fight? Oh wait, they can't. Onoda's sleeping...]

[That was some intense volume. Oh, well.]
